Hello Contributors!<\/p>\n
This is a reminder that we\u2019re still looking for stories to fill our This Week show \u2013 a show devoted to things happening all across America, big and small, in the coming week. We\u2019re looking for stories that take place any time between right now (Friday evening!) through next Friday, June 14th.<\/p>\n
A recap of what we\u2019re looking for: Things that are happening to you, or to someone you know, or just out in the world, from June 8 – 14. These can be little, personal things – a first date, a divorce becoming final, opening a new business, a crucial baseball game. We’d especially like local news stories from your neck of the woods that aren’t getting national coverage, but still tell us a lot about what it’s like to live where you live. Or one that\u2019s just absurd \u2013 the kind that\u2019s a sheer pleasure to tell other people. Or just any interesting situation coming to a head that week — at school, at work, at city council, at your family reunion — where things will be decided, lines drawn, sides taken. That would be perfect, too. But again \u2013 no idea is too small.<\/p>\n
We can do these stories as interviews or small essays or mini-documentaries or however.\u00a0 It kind of depends on how much lead time we\u2019ve got on the story, when it takes place, etc.\u00a0 But we\u2019ll figure it out.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s the other thing we\u2019d like: If something\u2019s happening to you this week that you think would be cool to record, could you tape it? On your phone, or your camera \u2013 the quality doesn\u2019t have to be perfect, as long as it\u2019s audible. If it\u2019s too big to email to us, we can talk you through how to send it another way.<\/p>\n
