In additon to all the good times we’ve been having at the Brew we\u00a0have also working on getting non-profit status for Michigan Movie Makers.\u00a0 Tomorrow (4\/11\/13) I will be sitting down with Northsky Non-profit Network here in Traverse City to find out exactly what we need to do to get this non-profit off the ground.\u00a0 I am also working on getting in contact with the West Michigan Film and Video Alliance for some additional advice.\u00a0 I have completed the first draft of the Articles of Incorporation<\/a> and the M3 Bylaws<\/a> that I will be presenting to Northsky tomorrow for feedback and guidance.\u00a0 I’m also looking for your help.\u00a0 Below I have included links\u00a0of the drafts of the Articles of Incorporation and the Bylaws.\u00a0 Feel free to look them over and let me know what you think.\u00a0 This is a work in progress so please let me know what needs to be fixed.\u00a0 If you have any ideas for changes or additions to the bylaws let me know and explain a little bit\u00a0about why you think they should be changed.\u00a0 By creating this non-profit we are hoping to help bring in funding for creating things like an online talent bank for the local film and video industry.\u00a0 Make sure to take a good look at our “purpose” to ensure it fits with all our ideas for growing our industry locally.<\/p>\n
